Today, Aluminium industry improves all its sectors of production to reduce losses and to boost system efficiency. Prior COPORE equipment, the way to control the balance consisted to measure the intensity through the fuse with a grip current tester or with "Hall effect" sensor, these methods were too dangerous for the user and too inaccurate (bad synchronisation of the measures, sensors liable to external noise, overloaded sensors, filtering errors...). Defective Rectifiers
A lot of problem can occur with such power equipment. First of all, and you will be surprised to know how many times it happens, rectifiers in new condition are not as perfect as you could think. In fact, the conception of one rectifier is strictly close to its final plant and therefore the risk of conception drift is serious. Means of evaluation were too archaic to estimate rectifier (with respect to specification of contract). Now, with a precision close to 1%, COPORE is the only one control equipment on the market able to resolve this problem.
A second problem (i.e. serie of problems) comes with time. Actually, rectifier characteristics are not stable. With current about thousands of amperes, the components of each path go through a bad time and their own characteristics (internal resistor, inductance component, threshold voltage) drift widely and unevenly with time. Therefore the share of the energy through the different paths becomes unbalanced. Without corrections this unbalanced share increases like an avalanche until partial or total destruction. In fact the best solution to maintain the balance is to know precisely what is the current through each path. COPORE is able to measures and displays 144 current signals synchronously, with its large number of tools COPORE will check up on the evolution of the rectifier.
